Our operations team brings decades of combined experience across national cleaning companies, large commercial sites, and high-compliance environments. These are the people who lead our day-to-day delivery, support our clients, and make sure our standards stay consistent across every job.

 Michael Hershberger – General Manager

Michael Hershberger is the General Manager of Wisdom Cleaning, bringing over a decade of senior operational experience from leading cleaning companies, including PPCS, OCS, and Rentokil Initial. He oversees operations across Christchurch, Wellington, and Auckland, ensuring consistent service delivery and strong performance across all regions.

He has managed large and complex contracts across local government, education, commercial, and central government sectors, giving him a deep understanding of service delivery at scale and the standards required in high-compliance environments. Before entering the cleaning industry, Michael worked in the finance sector in credit control and asset management. This experience supports his ability to make sound, balanced decisions — especially when evaluating contracts and weighing customer benefits, contract value, and service delivery requirements.

Michael’s strength lies in building efficient operational systems, supporting frontline teams, and ensuring consistent performance across multiple sites. With a practical mindset and a focus on clarity, structure, and accountability, he is committed to strengthening Wisdom Cleaning’s nationwide operations and maintaining long-term, reliable partnerships with clients.

Tina Li – Operations Manager (Auckland)

Tina Li oversees the operations of our Auckland branch, managing both the building clean team and our Auckland licensees. She plays a central role in ensuring smooth day-to-day delivery, quality standards, and strong customer relationships throughout the region.

Tina joined Wisdom Cleaning at the very beginning as an accounts assistant and grew into operations through her strong work ethic and commitment to learning. Having been with the company since its early stages, she understands Wisdom Cleaning inside out — its history, growth, systems, and expectations — which enables her to make informed decisions and support both clients and team members effectively.

She is a good listener who responds quickly and proactively to customer requests, ensuring issues are addressed and solutions implemented without delay. With hands-on experience, strong customer service skills, and a practical approach to problem-solving, Tina is a key leader in maintaining service quality and supporting the continued growth of our Auckland operations.

Denise Matiasi – Operations Supervisor (Christchurch)

Denise brings over 15 years of experience in the cleaning industry, including running her own businesses in two distinct environments — large-scale student accommodation at Victoria University and fast-turnaround Airbnb cleaning. These roles strengthened her skills in staff coordination, quality control, compliance, and customer communication.

She also gained valuable experience with national cleaning companies such as OCS, where she supported franchisees and managed operations across major commercial sites. Her background in both business ownership and franchise operations gives her a strong understanding of service delivery in high-use and complex environments.

At Wisdom Cleaning, Denise leads our building clean team, oversees quality control through regular site inspections and trains staff and licensees. Known for her organisational skills, practical leadership, and commitment to excellence, she plays a key role in maintaining service quality and consistent standards across the business.
