Our Story
Wisdom Cleaning was established in 2011 with a clear purpose: to deliver reliable, structured, and high-standard cleaning services that clients can trust. Beginning in Christchurch during the rebuild years, we grew alongside the city as businesses, builders, and homeowners sought partners who could meet higher expectations for quality, professionalism, and consistency.
Our reputation was first built through post-construction cleaning, guided by principles that still define our work today: a can-do attitude, a commitment to delivering good quality, clear communication, and a genuine focus on building strong, lasting relationships. As our capability strengthened, we expanded into permanent commercial cleaning and developed a nationwide licensed operator network. In our fourth year, this growth was recognised with a place in the Deloitte Fast 50, reflecting both our performance and the long-term trust of our clients.
Today, we serve clients across Christchurch, Auckland, and Wellington, operating through a structured model that ensures every customer receives the same level of care, clarity, and reliability. Many of our earliest clients continue with us today, a reflection of our consistent delivery and long-term relationship focus.
We are also proud of the diverse people who have shaped our company. Our team includes local Kiwis, new migrants, and working-holiday visitors from Asia, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and beyond. Each group brings something important: local staff contribute deep familiarity with Kiwi expectations, provide long-term stability within our workforce, and help ensure our service reflects local values; migrant workers bring resilience and dedication; and working-holiday staff offer cultural richness and global perspective. This multicultural blend strengthens our capability and reflects the inclusive, diverse fabric of modern New Zealand.
Giving back to the community has always been part of who we are. Over the years, we have supported Canterbury Rugby for eight seasons, contributed to the Christchurch Marathon and Le Race, assisted with fundraising for the Medbury School Parent Association and Christchurch Cathedral, and provided post-event cleaning for the Christchurch Lantern Festival. These partnerships reflect our belief that strong businesses help strengthen the communities they serve.
Through every stage of growth, our focus has remained steady: structured processes, dependable delivery, clear communication, and respectful relationships. These principles continue to guide how we operate today.
After more than a decade of growth, one thing has remained constant: the values and vision that shaped Wisdom Cleaning from the beginning. The business continues to evolve with a strong management team in place, but the foundations laid by its founders still guide the way we operate. Daniel Yeoh, an entrepreneur with a natural ability to connect with people, is known for his can-do attitude and passion for building strong relationships within the community. Amy Liu, a Chartered Accountant with professional training in finance, governance, and organisational structure, built the systems, policies, and financial foundations that support the company’s long-term stability. Their complementary strengths — Daniel’s relationship focus and Amy’s structured, professional approach — created the balance between people, quality, clarity, and delivery that continues to define Wisdom Cleaning today.
